Good Girls Finish Last
You have heard that old saying before but it is so true...Guys in DC who am I kidding guys across the globe always say they want a good girlfriend...the younger and sexier version of their mama with a little less nagging. Yet most men are not ready for a good girl...they would much rather have the bad girl who is full of drama but probably just scorned by men that she feels she has to behave this way with every man...that is a whole 'nother blog topic in itself. On the flip side I hear guys say all the time...women say they want a good man and then when they have one they don't know how to treat em. Well I do and I would like the option of meeting this so called "good guy"....point em out/point em out/point em out honey! I am right here...lol!

Hey Tiff,
ReplyDeleteI'm going with the good guy. My guy is beyond good, he is GREAT! I've passed up many "good" guys just because I thought the, I'll say, "chase" was normal or more attractive. The good guy/girl is perceived to be weak and submissive. Many only like bad girls/guys because they believe they can conquer them. What I mean by that is they believe they change them when they can't.
My boyfriend now, I thought, I could not like or date him because of so many reasons. When I got to know him more I realized he's FAR from weak. Although he knows how to be a great boyfriend he knows how to be a head strong man at the same time. I grew up thinking men had to have certain things, act and look a certain way when really none of that mattered. It wasn't until I let go of how he may appear to the world and accepted how he appeared to me, most of all, how he treated me; which was all that mattered.
The good guy/girl may not be fashionable, but the way a person dresses can change; their attitude and character, not so much. One may say 'oh he plays xbox too much' or 'all she does is shop' but shoot there's people who don't know where their bf/gf are half the time. All of these things are minor when you hear the next person complaining that their mate's ex keeps calling their phone or he/she is screwing 2 people at the same time. I think people need to stop settling for the bad just to say they have someone and go with the good.
