House Party Boos

This past Saturday, I threw my very first Grown-Up house party. It was aptly titled Breakfast at Tiffany's :-) The party was just like those old school ones your mama and them use to throw. People were dancing, playing cards and games with tons of food and drinks to go around. It was sooooo much fun and a cool way to see all of my friends from all aspects of my life mingle.

Then I got to thinking that this can be the first of many events and an opportunity to meet boos through friends of friends. The dating scene is looking a bit skimp, why not have my friends bring their hot, single, straight man friends to my parties so we can mix and mingle. This could be a very low-key way to meet some new hot guys...I mean new people.

What do you think is this a good idea or is dating your friends "friends" not a good idea and leads to unwanted weird tension?

I Like Them Boys Up Top From The BK.......

I recently went on my first trip to NY and man oh man did those up north boys have SWAG. They were also much nicer than I expected and CLEAN. I may have to revise my earlier statements professing my undenying love for "John Henry's" (country boys). I am starting to feel these dudes from up top. I need to stop being region biased.

What do you think are the best guys to date...North of the Mason Dixon Line or South of It?????

Mingle Mondays: Marvins on USt

A few of my lovely friends/sorors have decided to take over DC this summer and hit all the spots with something we can Mingle Mondays and Fly Girl Wednesdays. Last Monday we ventured to Marvins on Ust. It was a cute little bistro type spot with a rooftop space. It was pretty cool a mixed crowd about 2.5 cute guys were in attendance but they say normally the place is jumping but the rain might have kept the cuties away.

One funny thing happened.....THE INFAMOUS HAND IN THE POCKET WHILE I AM TALKING TO YOU trick. So these 3 O.G.s looking like they were in their late 30s early 40s come to talk to us and they all have their hands in their pockets talking bout "Did yall order some chip and dale dancers?" LOL....first off dude ur married, second ur old and third we don't wanna see know chip and dales we want to see black stallion and white chocolate at the male review with muscles....BEAT IT! That was the comedy for the night.

Marvin's a dope place to check out if you want a little music and nice expensive drinks but the vibe was good especially on Monday night but I would probably only post up on rooftop. That way u can clock all the boos coming in! For more info check out marvindc.com

Back Like I Left Something....EARLY!

First of all I want to apologize to my loyal 12 followers and all my peeps who check out my blog lol! I haven't been up here in a minute but I have been going thru a great change in my life. I was in what can be know as a "situation" no jersey shore lol. I was allowing this situation to overtake my life and then I woke up on day and realize why are you around and I am still technically SINGLE with a blog boolessin dc...so I cut it off and started living it up in the city. I was also out here Grindin, I got a new job with more $$ doing what I love and I am much happier. So now I am back and stronger than ever...everybody got that one slip up so thats what it was. I gots to keep it real wit yall.

So expect a weekly post about something exciting or funny as I continue on this booless in dc journey! Thanks for your patience and keep reading...tell your friends! How will I ever get a BOOK deal if you don't!!!

Work Boos

I haven't had a work boo in years since college actually. You know having some cute eye candy that you kind of flirt with at work....a work boo. I've had a few in my college days and actually miss having some eye candy to look at. There are ZERO boos at my job.....ZERO. I don't know if it is representative of my profession (limited males) or if its just a DC thing.

As a rule most people don't date on the job but what about flirting? Do you work flirt? Have you ever dated someone on your job....on the low low? Let a sista know oh and if there are any cuties down where you work :-)

Should Relationships be 50/50?

I was randomly listening to some Teddy Pendergrass "When Somebody Loves You Back" and it came to the part at the end where he says "not 70/30 not 60/40 talking bout a 50/50 love". It really got me thinking.

Are relationships nowadays really 50/50 and should they be? Let me know what you think!!!

Spring Fling is Here

It's finally hot in the district. The cherry blossoms are here, my allergies are going haywire and the sandals are out.Which means more boos are going to prowling the streets and I will be right there meet them.

Will this be the year of spring fling and summer love in the DMV or will this be a repeat of a broken record that plays the melancholy melodies of the booless? STAY TUNED!!!
